Product Information

Clay insulation brick is a lightweight refractory product made of refractory clay as the main raw material. The main component is alumina (Al₂O₃), with a content between 30% and 48%. Its production process includes mixing clay clinker, lightweight clay clinker or plastic clay with combustibles, extruding or casting, and firing at a high temperature of 1250-1350 degrees after drying.

Features ‌
Low thermal conductivity: Clay insulation bricks have high porosity, generally 40%-85%, low bulk density (less than 1.5g/cm³), low thermal conductivity (generally less than 1.0W/(m·K)), and have good thermal insulation effect. ‌

High refractoriness: Due to its high aluminum content, clay insulation bricks can still maintain good performance in a reducing atmosphere. ‌

High hot compressive strength: It can still maintain high compressive strength at high temperatures. ‌

Precise appearance and dimensions‌: This speeds up the masonry work, reduces the amount of refractory mud used, ensures the strength and stability of the masonry, and thus extends the life of the lining‌. ‌

Can be processed into special shapes‌: Adapt to different usage requirements‌.

Application

Clay insulation bricks are widely used in the insulation layer of various high-temperature kilns, such as heating furnaces, soaking furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, blast furnaces, hot blast furnaces, coke ovens, tunnel kilns and flues. These bricks can withstand the erosion and scouring of non-strong high-temperature molten materials, and are often used on surfaces that are in direct contact with flames to reduce erosion by slag and scouring by furnace gas and dust, thereby reducing damage.
